Do you have a crafter or maybe a wanna-be-crafter in your family? Then one of these DIY kits will make an awesome Christmas gift. I love gifts that you can start using right away and enjoy while watching the ubiquitous A Christmas Story marathon. Check out my Holiday Gift Guide Pinterest board to see all of my gift picks.
For me the holiday season is in full swing. Everywhere I look I'm seeing inspirational holiday crafts and products. I'm planning to do lots of crafting and decorating this weekend. I'll probably pop some popcorn on the stove (my preferred method), douse it in butter and salt and not even bother making a garland. Have you started your holiday crafting? Here are a few of my favorites from the week.
Over the long weekend, I started some new DIY holiday gifts and finished up some old projects too. A few months ago when I was on my softie making streak, I stitched together this little cloud pillow. To finish it off, I added a little embroidery, giving it a cute winky face. I was definitely inspired by the adorably sweet crafts on the zu blog. This little pillow is going to find itself under the Christmas tree this year and I hope the recipients love it as much as I do.
Yesterday I shared some ideas for handmade gifts that you can purchase. Today I have some DIY edible gifts that you can make yourself. With Food DIY's you can make a large batch and hand them out to all your friends and family. Or, make them for that certain hard-buy-for-relative who has everything they already need. Everyone loves receiving a tasty homemade treat. Personally I'd love to have a jar of homemade brandied cherries for making sweet and spicy old fashioned drinks.
I love giving handmade gifts more than the average person. I do have a DIY blog after all. :) But sometimes one doesn't have the time or the skill to pull off a particular DIY. Well don't despair, you can buy handmade and here are some of my favorite online picks. Where do you like to buy handmade?
